It is certainly a growing trend for women to purchase flower arrangements for their loved ones on Valentine’s Day,” said Pam Skyora, FTD florist certified Jolly Lane Floral in Rapid City. “Do not get him a sweater or a boring bottle of cologne. The use of colors, styles and variety of flowers, donations can be made much more personal.” While women covet classic bouquets of red roses, men generally prefer atypical arrangements.
“I suggest tropical flowers like birds of paradise with orange or pink carnations, purple statice, and perhaps a single red rose. Displayed in a vase with a contemporary bright foliage, which makes a great gift,” said Skyora.
The Rapid City florist said pink sunflowers; hypericum, dendrobium orchids, and rainbow aesthetically please men. Also attractive are plants such as anthuriums, bromeliads and cacti. Mosses in natural gray and lime green add texture to a floral arrangement.

For the man who loves Roses, Jolly Lane sells special selections Minnesota-grown. Since they are not far travel to Rapid City, they are dynamic, fragrant and long lasting.
Skyora recommends placing orders early Monday, Feb. 14 for delivery the same day. The orders are received earlier, more floral designs are available.
