Manchester store owners: Say 'no' to Walmart plan MANCHESTER, Iowa -- Don and Kathy McCurdy want to stay in Manchester.
So, the co-owners of Main Street Market are asking the citizens of Delaware County's largest community for their support.
The McCurdys are circulating a petition in opposition to Walmart's plans to renovate its Manchester store and add a full line of groceries.
Main Street Market, which opened in Coggon in 2000, added a second store in Manchester in September 2007. The 11,500-square-foot store features a fresh deli counter, lunch counter, fresh meat case, bakery and a full line of dry groceries.
