Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole Sue Brett Favre: Christina Scavo and Shannon O’Toole were both massage therapists for the New York Jets. Yesterday they filed lawsuits against Minnesota Vikings’ quarterback Brett Favre and Lisa Ripis (the hiring manager for all massage therapists for the team). Christina and Shannon claim that Favre sexually harassed them, and that Lisa Ripis didn’t take appropriate actions to prevent the harassment.
Reuters reported today on the lawsuits. When asked on the ABC TV program “Good Morning America” why the lawsuits were coming now, after Favre’s retirement, lawyer Elizabeth Eilander said: “It’s clear that there’s no change going on at the Jets, and it’s not right, and it happens to be illegal.”
