Watch Lunar Eclipse Online – Lunar Eclipse December 20th on Winter Solstice
Two celestial events – a total lunar eclipse and winter solstice annual – coincided unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. It was a rare event and the last time it happened one day calendar was 2,000 years ago. Next time, lunar eclipse and winter solstice will meet December 21, 2094. Most of us can not live there.
Tuesday was a special day for astronomers and space enthusiasts. They spent Monday night insomnia watching the total lunar eclipse, which lasted three hours and 28 minutes. Then, in the day, they have the chance to experience the darkest time and more cautious because of the winter solstice. Perhaps most observers of the sky in the night could have slept comfortably on the darkest day of the year.
