Kate O'Brien, Conan's younger sister, makes film debut in 'The Fighter'

Actress Amy Adams visited Conan O’Brien’s show last night to promote the film, which opens Friday, and revealed that O’Brien’s younger sister made her acting debut in the movie.
The film follows the early start of boxer “Irish” Micky Ward, played by Mark Wahlberg, and his brother turned trainer portrayed by Christian Bale.
Kate O’Brien plays Phyllis “Beaver” Ecklund, one of the boys’ many sisters. Conan said "she did an amazing job and she loved the experience."
The movie has already had a fortuitous week, garnering six Golden Globe nominations, including acting nods for Wahlberg and Adams.
