Happy Festivus! Festivus Quotes And Get Ready to Rumble!

December 23rd is Festivus, a holiday invented by the writers of Seinfeld, using the character of George’s father, Frank Costanza. Happy Festivus! We have Festivus quotes for you below, as well as video from Seinfeld that shows the origins of the holiday. If you’re at work and can’t watch videos, here’s a summation:
Frank Costanza was shopping for a doll for his son (yes!) and when he reached for the last one they had, another man also reached for it. As he “rained blows upon him,” he realized there had to be another way!
“Out of that, a new holiday was born!” says Frank. “A Festivus for the rest of us!”
To celebrate Festivus, you put up a Festivus pole instead of a tree. There are no gifts…instead you air your grievances about your friends and family to your fellow Festivus followers. And the day is not finished until you have participated in Feats of Strength with someone, hopefully winning but if not that’s ok…it’s just another grievance.
