Day after Giant debacle, specter of Bill Cowher returns


Monday morning isn't being any kinder to New York Giants' head coach Tom Coughlin than Sunday afternoon.
Fresh off a monumental fourth quarter collapse against Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles at the New Meadlowlands -- a loss that will in all likelihood cost the Giants the NFC East -- comes a report that popular former Pittsburgh Steelers coach Bill Cowher is ready to return to the sidelines next season and has Big Blue on his short list of landing spots.
A source close to Cowher says the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texas, and, yes, the Giants, top the wish list of the 53-year-old, who won a Super Bowl in 2006 in Steel City, according to ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen.
